INSPIRATIONHolding Heaven and Earth in One Hand is for all people who want to live life more fully. When Nancy Cobble began working on this book, she knew she would not be alive to see it published. Nevertheless, she was determined to tell her story.A medical doctor, Cobble found herself on the receiving end of a diagnosis of terminal cancer. She set out to record her, thoughts and feelings not just for her own sake, but to leave for her husband and children "a connection with me and with the Lord I serve." She wrote to offer "the gifts of what God has shown me about living, dying, and moving forward." Her ideas and insights will teach and inspire not only those who are facing terminal illness but all who, like Nancy Cobble, want to "live better."Nancy Cobble died in 1996. She was a board certified physician in physical medicine and rehabilitation and published several articles in journals and medical textbooks. Her husband, Ron, lives in Littleton, Colorado, with their two boys, Chris and Dan.Joy Sawyer is a licensed professional counselor and freelance writer.
