How do I book a VR session?

You can easily book your VR session online through our website by selecting your preferred date, time, and experience. Walk-ins are welcome but subject to availability — especially on weekends.

How many people can play at once?

Each VR escape room or arcade experience can accommodate up to 6 players at a time, making it perfect for families, couples, or group outings.

What are your VR rates?

Our experiences start at just $10 for a quick sampler.

What is free-roam VR?

Free-roam VR lets you physically walk around our open play space while immersed in the virtual world. Unlike seated VR, free-roam experiences are fully interactive and let you move naturally — great for teamwork and exploration.

What should I wear for VR?

Wear something comfortable! Closed-toed shoes are recommended for safety, especially during free-roam experiences. Avoid large hats, heels, or dangling accessories that could interfere with the headset.

Can I pause a session?

We don’t recommend pausing mid-session, as it can break immersion. Please use the restroom or take care of other needs before your session begins. If a pause is necessary, our staff will assist as best they can.

What if I get motion sickness?

Our free-roam VR experiences are designed to minimize motion sickness. If you’re prone to discomfort, let our staff know — we’ll suggest titles that are lighter on movement. Taking short breaks between games also helps.

Can I play multiple games in one session?

Yes! Most sessions include multiple games unless you’ve booked a dedicated escape room, which is designed as a full one-hour adventure.

What ages can play VR?

Our experiences are suitable for ages 6 and up. Younger participants may require a parent or guardian nearby. We also offer simpler games for younger players and families.

Do I need prior experience with VR?

Not at all! Our friendly team will guide you every step of the way, from headset setup to gameplay tips. Many of our visitors are first-time players — and they love it!

Can I wear glasses with the VR headset?

Yes — most of our VR headsets are designed to fit comfortably over glasses. Our staff will help you adjust for the best fit.

Is VR safe for everyone?

VR is generally safe for most people. However, if you have a history of seizures, dizziness, or medical conditions that affect balance or vision, consult your physician first. Our staff can also recommend experiences that are less physically intense.

What types of books do you sell?

Do you accept book donations?

Absolutely! We gratefully accept gently used book donations during business hours. Every donated book helps us support our local community and keep great stories circulating.

Can I sell my used books to Skull & Books VR?

At this time, we only accept book donations, but stay tuned — we plan to launch a book buyback or trade-in program in the future.

Do you carry rare or collectible books?

Occasionally! We sometimes come across rare, vintage, or collectible editions. Check our store shelves or ask a team member about our current inventory — treasures rotate frequently.

Do you sell new books?

While most of our inventory is pre-loved, you can shop new books and audiobooks through our Bookshop.org storefront — every purchase supports our independent Cocoa Beach bookstore.

What are your hours of operation?

We’re open Tuesday through Thursday, 11 AM to 6 PM, Friday and Saturday 11 am to 8 pm, and 11 am to 6pm on Sunday, we are closed on Mondays.
