Step Up for Students – Approved VR Experiences

Step Up for Students families can use their scholarship funds for approved virtual reality enrichment experiences at Skull & Books VR in Cocoa Beach.

We offer fully guided, private 1-hour VR sessions that can be used for:

  • VR escape rooms

  • Multiple shorter VR games

  • Age-appropriate, staff-led experiences

No prior VR experience is required, and all sessions are supervised by our team.

Step Up sessions are typically scheduled Tuesday–Friday, with limited weekend availability.

What Students Will Experience

Our Step Up–approved VR sessions are designed to be engaging, structured, and supervised.

During a 1-hour private session, students may:


  • Work together to solve puzzles in a VR escape room

  • Play multiple short, age-appropriate VR games

  • Practice problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills

All sessions are:


  • Fully guided by our staff

  • Designed for beginners (no VR experience needed)

  • Adjusted for age and comfort level

Safety, supervision, and positive engagement are always our priority.
